The Slo-Mo Zone is an ongoing, interactive project that invites people to step out of their fast-paced routines and into a world of slow-motion play. It blurs the line between performer and spectator and transforms public space into a stage where anyone can join in, slowly of course.
There are 2 versions of this project.
version one: Step and Repeat
First, a willing participant is filmed in slow motion performing a simple action. Then they repeat the exact same move again, but this time, they bring the slow-mo, while we film at normal speed.
version two: Obey the Signs
All it takes is a few well-placed signs featuring the Slo-Mo Lifeguard to shift the energy of a place. No need for instructions—just the image and the implication. People see it, smile, and it gives them an excuse to act playfull without needing to justify it. When one person starts moving in slow motion, others follow. It becomes a playful chain reaction driven by curiosity and fun. Let the slowness begin.
